2023 JSBA AGM Prize Drawing

Hello, Jacob friends! My name is Sarah Karr of Roving Acres and it is my honor to be serving you as the AGM prize drawing webmaster yet again. Due to Colorado gambling regulations the name is a little different this year but the fun and excitement is the same!

This year the annual prize drawing will be held in conjunction with the AGM in CO, June 9-11, but don’t worry, the drawing will still be open to anyone across the country. If you aren’t able to make the trip we’ll still make sure your prize gets to you!

Each year I think has to have the best prize donations and yet somehow every year you all are able to top it. From your amazing handmade goods and historical Jacob sheep items to useful sheep books or services, to tastes of your hometown. There really is something for everyone! Participating in the prize drawing is a great way to connect with fellow Jacob folks and support the organization even if you can’t make the trip to AGM in person.

Donors: Please email me a large, clear photo of your donation, along with a short description, your contact information, and a link to your website to rovingacres@gmail.com. You can then send the item to AGM. Factor the cost of shipping to the AGM into your donation plans if you are not attending personally and consider using a website such as pirateship.com to reduce postal costs. Donations going to AGM can be mailed to:
Anne Daugherty
3398 County Road 67

An Enquiry into the Origin of Piebald or “Jacob” Sheep – by A.R. Werner

This is a small, 1988 publication by a British author, paperback, not new but in very good condition. 80 pages, with lots of black and white photos. It provides a fair amount of information on possible sources of the Jacob breed, and details on some early British Jacob flocks and their origins. Interesting and includes details that I haven’t seen elsewhere.
